Remember when you were a kid and used playing cards and clothes pegs to make an engine sound while riding your bicycle?
Remember how nice it felt when your dad pushed you down the road on your bicycle - infinitely more fun that paddling, wasn’t it?
I was about 8 years old and my older cousin pushed me on his big “dikwiel” - I still remember the feeling, no need to paddle to accelerate. It was the future, my future and I can still remember the feeling and it feels exactly like riding a bike!

Now, 40 years later, I’d still rather spend a day riding my bike than do just about anything else. It gives me the freedom, solitude and rush I crave.

I don’t mind riding alone, in fact I prefer it. I still dream of that big trip, the one to top all trips. Soon I will start planning but in the meantime I’m having a lot of fun just riding and exploring.

I have had a wonderful journey through motorcycledom, met some wonderful people, rode some awesome bikes, owned a couple of awesome bikes and, off course, lost a friend or two.
This website is a collection of some of the trip reports we’ve done over the years for a group of riders called IUB - Inter Galactic Urban Bikers.
This blog replaces the Bike/IUB website as I’ve decided to change the format, and I hope you enjoy reading some of the stories.

Your journey through my journey (damn that sounds pretentious) should start here!
